Easter Holiday #2: Bay of Islands

The small Māori town of Kaikohe has an artist-designed public toilet, which seemed to be the biggest attraction in town.

We had a great day sailing on the old-fashioned R Tucker Thompson ship out of Russell in the Bay of Islands.  Claire and Eleanor helped with the lines,
Everyone got to climb the rigging,
Swing off the deck into the water, sit on the bowspirit,
A view from the hill above a lagoon for lunch

Claire thought it was the best day ever.

  1. What a beautiful world you're living in! Claire, you look so brave hanging over the water. Eleanor, you look so brave on those ropes. We like finding NZ on the map. Miss you!
