Hanmer Springs is named for the local hot water springs that have made it a resort/spa destination for a century or so. We spend a good part of the day at the public pools, ranging from 28 degrees to 41 degrees centigrade. Laura got up early and climbed Mount Isobel -- 40+ meter waterfall on the way and magnificent 360 degree views from the top.
