Looks are deceptive--this is 20 percent downhill grade with loose deep gravel--walking for mortals like me. But great scenery!
Gravel and paved roads in the morning toward Wakefield and then St. Arnauds and Rotoiti Lake. Then more gravel, and Porika track—terrible downhill walk. Braeburn track (rough gravel but not walking) and Mangles Valley into Murchison. Cabin in Holiday park for the night.
